About me
I was born in Paris, France and spent the first 16 years of my life in the city of lights before moving to the United States. Growing up in Paris exposed me to the richness and beauty of the French culture. After moving to the United States I always delighted in sharing my French heritage with those who would ask. After meeting person after person who wanted to learn French, I decided to teach it! Now I delight in teaching my native language, to people from all walks of life. Presently, I live in New Jersey close to NYC. My hobbies include many things such as playing the piano, drawing, writing, blogging, etc. I also love traveling when possible and meeting new people! |
MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
My personal teaching philosophy is that learning should be engaging and fun. Most students like to learn through the conversational method, but I also teach by using a more structured format depending on what your personal need is. Many sites will offer to teach French, but they will all advise to learn and practice with a native French speaker. With good reason! French is a language that requires an authentic French speaker to practice the correct pronunciation, and help you navigate through the many unspoken rules of the language in order to sound correct and be understood. It also takes lots of patience, mastering a language does take time and dedication!
My purpose is to develop confidence, interest and passion in my students, and improve their French language skills. I focus on individuals needs and objectives. I teach students of all levels and ages. |
